Constructability Design Guide
This Practice provides engineers and designers with guidelines for improving constructability of civil, structural, and architectural components of grass root projects, revamp projects, and turnarounds. Engineering judgement should be used to determine which of these guidelines are appropriate for any given project.

Critical Spare Parts Management Guideline
This Practice describes processes that have been shown to be effective in the proper identification, recording, procuring, storing, and monitoring of critical spare parts. This Practice includes related processes describing responsibilities, competencies, documentation requirements, and management system(s) required to ensure that the correct spare parts are suitable and available for the application for which they are to be used. The included processes apply to the personnel responsible for ensuring the viability and availability of spare parts for systems designated as critical and/or any other equipment or systems, as deemed necessary by an end user at the company or facility level.

Control Valves Selection Criteria (Canada)
This Practice describes requirements for selection and sizing of pneumatically actuated control valves, including requirements for body, bonnet, trim, actuator, accessories, and noise considerations. This specification is intended for use in locations where compliance with Canadian Standard Association (CSA) code requirements is stipulated. This Practice does not cover requirements for motor-operated valves, on-off valves, on-off valves intended for emergency isolation, or valves with hydraulic actuators. For these types of on-off valve applications, see PIP PCECV003 - Guidelines for Application of Remotely Actuated On-Off Valves.

General Instrument Installation Criteria (Canada)
This Practice provides installation criteria for instrumentation. This Practice describes requirements for instrument identification, mounting location, instrument support, process connections, and environmental protection. This specification is intended for use in locations where compliance with Canadian Standard Association (CSA) code requirements is stipulated. This Practice does not cover related requirements for the design and installation of instrument piping and tubing, which are addressed in PIP PCCIP001 - Instrument Piping and Tubing Systems Criteria. This Practice also does not cover related piping and tubing material specifications, which are addressed in PIP PCSIP001 - Instrument Piping and Tubing Systems Specifications. This Practice does not cover related requirements for external grounding or power for instruments, which are addressed in Process Industry Practices (PIP) documents under the responsibility of the Electrical Function Team.

External Coating System Selection Criteria for Hygienic Facilities
This Practice describes the criteria for selection of industrial coating systems for insulated and uninsulated substrates of process area, non-process area, structural steel, equipment, vessels, tanks, and piping within hygienic processing facilities. This Practice includes considerations for coatings exposed to a variety of cleaning Zones. For the purposes of this practice, “Hygienic,” “Process,” or “Hygienic Process” refers to all Hygienic Processes for Food/Beverage/Consumer and Current Good Manufacturing Practices (CGMP) or other products requiring a clean design. This Practice is not intended to address coating systems for primary containment of product transport and/or storage. Users are to refer to other PIP hygienic process Practices for process equipment and piping. This Practice does not include criteria for the selection of industrial coating systems for insulated items in cyclic temperature service, internal linings, underground substrates, maintenance coating, or color selection. This Practice does not address all issues that are associated with direct product contact environments or all Jurisdictional requirements of regulated processes.
