Electric Motor Voltage Dip Impact Mitigation
Electrical systems will experience electrical events in the form of voltage dips and outages. Depending on the magnitude and duration of these electrical events, electric motors can drop offline. The unexpected loss of an electric motor in a production unit can cause personnel safety issues, environmental issues, and loss profit opportunities (LPO). This Practice provides information which can be used to develop the basic premises on which to implement a voltage dip impact mitigation program to help overcome the adverse effects of production units dropping offline. The voltage dip impact mitigation program addresses the application of both under-voltage ride-through and under-voltage restart capabilities which should be added to the controls of electrical motors.

Pressure Transmitter Installation Details
This Practice provides details for the installation of pressure transmitters in liquid, gas and steam services. This Practice contains installation details for pressure transmitters in liquid level service and includes details for electric or steam tracing of these installations. These details describe the base instrument installations. The bill of material provided with each detail is generic and is complementary to PIP PCSIP001- Instrument Piping and Tubing Systems Specifications

Nonshielded Power Cable Specification (2001 Volts to 5000 Volts)
This Practice describes the minimum technical requirements for design, material, construction, inspection, testing, purchase, and shipping of single and multiple conductor solid dielectric, insulated, nonshielded copper cable rated at 2001 volts to 5000 volts.
Technical Revision

Shielded Power Cable Specification (5 to 46 kV)
This Practice provides requirements for the purchase of single and multiple conductor shielded power cable rated at 5 kV to 46 kV. This Practice describes the minimum technical requirements for design, material, construction, inspection, testing, and shipping of solid dielectric, insulated shielded copper cable.
Technical Revision

Low Voltage Multiconductor Power and Control Cable Specification
This Practice provides requirements for low voltage power and control tray cable (Type TC) and metal-clad (Type MC) cable. This Practice describes the minimum technical requirements for fabrication, inspection, testing, and shipping of insulated copper cable. This Practice covers low voltage multiple conductor power and control tray cable and metal-clad cable.
Technical Revision

Purchasing Requirements for Piping and Pipeline Gaskets (Universally Applicable)
This Practice describes the minimum requirements for gaskets specified in PIP Piping Material Specifications (PMSs). This specification does not cover the purchase of custom gaskets for size ranges or pressure ranges outside the limits of PIP PMSs.
Technical Revision

Electrical Manhole – Cable Vault Design Criteria
This Practice describes design criteria for precast concrete manholes or cable vaults used in conjunction with underground electrical ducts, and installation of cables in underground manholes. Proper design and installation of manholes is essential for safety and reliability of plant electrical services. Basic designs and installation requirements included in this Practice shall be reviewed by site engineering personnel for each new installation to ensure proper application.

Nickel and Nickel Alloy Ball Valve Descriptions (Universally Applicable)
This Practice provides the detailed purchase descriptions for nickel and nickel alloy ball valve tag numbers included in PIP Piping Material Specifications (PMSs) and used along with PIP PNSM0110 for the procurement of valves. This Practice also provides a cross reference for carbon steel ball valve tag numbers to applicable PIP PMSs.

Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) System Specification
This Practice and the purchaser’s PIP ELSAP04-D Data Sheet describe the minimum requirements for design, fabrication, inspection, testing, shipment, and documentation for a complete on-line, UPS system of either a pulse width modulated (PWM) or ferroresonant type. A PWM-type UPS system includes a rectifier/charger, inverter, static bypass switch, manual bypass switches, transformers, and accessories. A ferroresonant-type UPS system includes a rectifier/charger, inverter, constant voltage or ferroresonant transformer, static bypass switch, manual bypass switches, transformers, and accessories.

Purchasing Requirements for Control Valves
This Practice describes the minimum general requirements for the control valve body construction, actuator, auxiliaries (e.g., positioner, limit switches, etc.), testing, inspection, and documentation. This Practice provides requirements for the format for providing data for each individual control valve, the method to be used for valve sizing, and other design considerations. For Control Valves sizing and selection see PIP PCCCV001 and PIP PCECV001.This Practice does not include requirements for motor-operated valves, on-off valves intended for emergency isolation, and valves with hydraulic actuators. For On-Off Valves, see PIP PCCCV003, Remotely Actuated On-Off Valves Selection Criteria and PIP PCECV003, Guidelines for Application of Remotely Actuated On-Off Valves.

Control Valves Selection Criteria
This Practice describes requirements for selection and sizing of pneumatically actuated control valves, including requirements for body, bonnet, trim, actuator, accessories, and noise considerations. This Practice does not cover requirements for motor-operated valves, on-off valves, on-off valves intended for emergency isolation, or valves with hydraulic actuators. For these types of on-off valve applications see PIP PCECV003, Guidelines for Application of Remotely Actuated On-Off Valves.
