Structural Design Criteria (ASCE/SEI 7 / IBC)
This Practice describes the minimum requirements for the structural design of process industry facilities at onshore sites. This Practice is intended to be used in conjunction with PIP ARC01015, PIP ARC01016, PIP CVC01015, PIP CVC01017, PIP CVC01018, and PIP STC01016, as applicable. This Practice does not include design criteria for loads associated with transportation or lifting of modular structures, which is addressed in PIP STC01016. This Practice provides triple references to ASCE/SEI 7-16, IBC 2018, and IBC 2021. The applicable code/standard shall be as required by the authority having jurisdiction (AHJ) and as specified in PIP CVC01017 and PIP CVC01018. This Practice provides double references to ACI 318-14 / ACI 318M-14 and ACI 318-19 (IN-LB) / ACI 318-19 (SI). The applicable code shall be as required by the authority having jurisdiction (AHJ) and as specified in PIP CVC01018. This Practice provides references to ANSI/AISC 341-16 and ANSI/AISC 360-16. The applicable specification/standard shall be as required by the authority having jurisdiction (AHJ) and as specified in PIP CVC01018. This Practice references US codes and standards, but it can be applied globally. For projects in other countries, a thorough search of applicable codes and standards is required. Where more stringent than US codes and standards, the local codes and standards shall govern. For projects in countries without applicable codes and standards, the US codes and standards shall govern.

Guideline for Determining Electrical Area Classification
This Practice describes an engineering work process for gathering the necessary information and applying the applicable codes and standards to develop a documented area classification. This Practice addresses the classification of areas containing flammable liquids, gases, or vapors and combustible dust, but does not address ignitable fibers and flyings. This Practice applies to petroleum and chemical process facilities and other related industries that fall within the scope of the standards being used for the assessment of the area classification. This Practice is applicable for new and existing facilities. This Practice should be used with petroleum and chemical industry codes and standards that define the basis for area classification.

Remotely Actuated On-Off Valves Selection Criteria
This Practice provides requirements for the specification and installation of remotely actuated on-off valves. This Practice describes the requirements for process application, valve and actuator selection, material selection, ancillary equipment, and testing of remotely activated on-off valves (e.g., 2-way, 3-way, 4-way, etc.). This Practice covers non-throttling applications. Throttling applications are considered to be control valves and are covered in PIP PCCCV001 and PIP PCECV001. However, remotely activated on-off valves have many similarities with control valves (e.g., body configuration, materials of construction, internals, etc.). Therefore, this Practice shall be used in conjunction with PIP PCCCV001 and PIP PCECV001. This Practice does not cover process analytical sample valves.

Level Measurement Design Criteria
This Practice provides requirements criteria for level measurement equipment selection and for the design of level measurement systems. This Practice describes the design requirements for differential pressure, radar, ultrasonic, displacement, capacitance, nuclear level measurement systems and switches for level gauges. This Practice does not include requirements for tank gauging systems or weighing systems.

Guidelines for Application of Remotely Actuated On-Off Valves
This Practice describes guidelines and background information for the application of remotely activated on-off valves. This Practice includes process application, valve and actuator selection, material selection, ancillary equipment requirements, and testing of remotely activated on-off valves (e.g., 2-way, 3-way, 4-way, etc.). This Practice covers non-throttling applications. Throttling applications are considered to be control valves and are covered in PIP PCECV001 and PIP PCCCV001. However, remotely activated on-off valves have many similarities with control valves (e.g., body configuration, materials of construction, internals, etc.). Therefore, this Practice should be used in conjunction with PIP PCECV001.

Specification for High-Temperature Secondary Batteries (Salt Batteries)
This Practice describes the minimum requirements for design, fabrication, inspection, testing, shipment, and documentation for high-temperature secondary batteries (salt batteries) for application in electrical stations, uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), battery energy storage (BES), or other applications located in indoor or outdoor, nonclassified areas.

Project Execution Plan (Universally Applicable)
This practice defines the purpose and requirements of a Project Execution Plan (PEP) document. The practice provides key considerations to the development of the PEP document and standardized guidance to ensure consistency, clarity, and alignment in documenting how projects will be executed, monitored, and controlled throughout their lifecycle. The designation “Project,” as delineated within this document, encompasses a spectrum of work scopes that may be as small as engagement of a third-party entity for completing a small design study, or may be as large as executing complete engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) activities for a greenfield facility. This practice has been developed considering a PEP for a large, greenfield EPC project, spanning early front-end loading (FEL) phases through commissioning. This practice is not intended to provide the format, structure, or style for the development of the PEP but provides considerations to customize and use as project needs dictate.
